Summer Reading Book

I liked my summer reading book, The Lock Artist, because you were always wondering why something was happening or why the characters were doing a certain thing. "But yes it was. It was that guy. The guy with the long nose and fishing hat." In this quote you have no clue what is about to happen or what is going on with Mike, the main character. Also in this quote it shows why Mike was a genius at what he does "And in about two minutes later the door was opened, we had the money, and it was time to celebrate. Which brings me to the theme of the book. Since Mike's parents had died and he was the "Miracle Boy", the dramatic accident led him to not talk at all and do different things like picking different locks and become that "Lock Artist" led him to who he is now.

The characters like Amelia and Mike changes drastically meaning that Mike learned at the very end, because of his actions, shouldn't be doing what he was doing. Plus since his parents died he doesn't talk anymore because it was so dramatic and that he almost died means that he is still speechless.

This divergent article is only and all about the book The Lock Artist. This also gives a brief summary of the book in good detail but not with any spoilers. http://www.authorstevehamilton.com/lock_artist_11/index.htm

  4. It sounds like a good book but, it also seems that it may be hard to understand at points in the book. Maybe I will read this book later this year.

  7. This book sounds different from what I've read in the past but it sounds like it would be a good book to expand genres. You did a really great job explaining this!
